TYLOSIN 20% – INJECTABLE SOLUTION

Indicated with infections, caused by microorganisms susceptible to tylosin, like e.g. respiratory tract infections in cattle, sheep and pigs, Dysentery Doyle in pigs, dysentery and arthritis caused by Mycoplasmas, mastitis and endometritis.

Description

Composition:

Each ml solution contains 200 mg tylosin base.

Indications:

Tylosin, a macrolide antibiotic, is active against particularly Grampositive bacteria, some Spirochetes (including Leptospira); Actinomyces, Mycoplasmas (PPLO), Haemophilus pertussis, Moraxella bovis and some Gramnegative cocci. After parenteral administration, therapeutically active blood concentrations of tylosin are reached within 2 hours.

Indicated with infections, caused by microorganisms susceptible to tylosin, like e.g. respiratory tract infections in cattle, sheep and pigs, Dysentery Doyle in pigs, dysentery and arthritis caused by Mycoplasmas, mastitis and endometritis.

Contra‑Indications:

Hypersensitivity to tylosin and concurrent administration with penicillines, quinolones and cycloserine.

Side-effects:

Sometimes, local irritation at the injection site may occur.

Dosage and Administration: For intramuscular administration.

The general dose is: 0.5‑1 ml per 20 kg body weight dailyduring 3‑5 consecutive days.

Withdrawal time: 10 days (pigs 6 days) before slaughtering and 3 days before milking.

Storage: Keep closed in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight and safe from children.
