Description
Composition:
Each gram powder contains 200 mg oxytetracycline base as hydrochloride.
Indications:
Agroxy 20 is a broad spectrum antibiotic with bacteriostatic action against a large number of Grampositive and Gramnegative organisms. Rickettsiae, Leptospirae, Mycoplasmas, Chlamydia, Actinomyces and some protozoa.
Activity against Pseudomonas‑, Proteus‑, and Klebsiella spp. is low.
Indicated for infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to oxytetracycline, like respiratory infections, gastro‑enteritis, metritis, mastitis, salmonellosis, dysentery, foot rot, sinusitis, urinary‑tract infections, mycoplasmosis, CRD (chronic respiratory disease), blue comb, shipping fever, and liver abcesses.
Contra-indications:
Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines, liver‑ or renal insufficiency, combination with penicillins or cephalosporins.
Dosage and Administration: Orally
Poultry: 100 gram oxytetracycline 20 % powder per 150 litres of drinking water, during 4‑6 consecutive days.
1.5 kg oxytetracycline 20 % powder per 1.000 kg of finished feed.
Withdrawal time: For meat : Veal 8 days; Porc 5 days; Poultry/birds: 8 days.
For eggs : 2 days.
Storage: Keep closed in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight and safe from children.
